Gautam Buddha Nagar: The Bhangel Elevated Road, which has been under construction for a long time, is now almost ready, and it will be opened for the general public by the second week of July.
According to the information received by the Dynamite News correspondent, after the opening of this road, the traffic pressure on DSC Road will be reduced to a great extent. Especially in jam-prone areas like Barola, Bhangel, and Salarpur, traveling will become easier.
Work completed with finishing touches remaining
99 percent of the construction work of this approximately 4.5 km long elevated road has been completed. Now only the final phase of finishing works, like street lighting, divider painting, caution marking, and road cleaning, is being done rapidly. These works are expected to be completed by the first week of July.
Modern elevated road built at a cost of 608 crores
This elevated road, built at a cost of about Rs 608 crore, starts from Agahpur in Sector-41 and extends till the dirty drain near Phase-2. This road is one of the main traffic routes of Noida, and after its opening, thousands of passengers who are stuck in traffic jams for hours every day will get great relief.
Freedom from jam, traffic will be smooth
People are very troubled by traffic jams in areas like Barola, Bhangel, and Salarpur till now. But after the opening of the elevated road, there is hope of a vast improvement in the traffic situation in these areas. Drivers will now experience uninterrupted, fast, and safe travel.
Strict arrangements made for safety
The Noida Authority has also been strict about safety on the elevated road. Special covering safety sheets are being installed on every curve of the road so that incidents like vehicles slipping in the rain or at high speed can be avoided. Apart from this, state-of-the-art streetlights have also been installed on the entire route.
Three years delay in the project, but now close to the finishing line.
It is worth noting that the official deadline for the Bhangel Elevated Road was set for April 2025, but the construction has already been delayed by about three years. The inauguration was planned for June 2025, which was postponed due to incomplete finishing work. Now this road is believed to be fully ready by the end of June or early July.
Loop construction still incomplete
Although the main elevated structure is almost ready, the tender for one of the four loops connected to it, from Sector-49 to Sector-107, has not been issued yet. The Noida Authority says that the construction of these loops will also be started after the main road is operational.
Hope for relief to the public
If everything goes as planned, the Bhangel Elevated Road will be opened to the general public by the second week of July, which will provide relief to thousands of Noida residents from traffic, and the traffic system in the city will be better than ever.
