New Delhi: Recently news has come out that the United States is considering increasing its military strength in the Middle East (West Asia). According to reports, America may send about 10,000 additional soldiers. This has increased the fear that ground operations may take place against Iran in the future, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
According to media reports, this step can be taken to give more military options to US President Donald Trump.
The situation in the Middle East is already tense, especially since the US and Israel launched attacks on Iran on February 28. With this additional deployment, America wants to strengthen its strategic position so that it can take immediate action if needed.
According to reports, thousands of American paratroopers and Marine soldiers have already been sent to the area. Now if 10,000 more soldiers come, it will be a big increase in America's military presence.
Iran has made it clear that if America launches a ground attack against it, it will retaliate. According to an Iranian official, Iran could activate Houthi rebels, who could attack ships in the Red Sea. This may further increase the scope of war and may also affect global trade.
However, President Trump has said many times that he does not want a ground war against Iran. He also said that peace talks with Iran are going on and the situation is under control.
Yet, the increasing deployment of troops seems to contradict these statements. According to reports, American troops can be deployed at such places from where they can reach important areas of Iran. These also include Kharg Island, which is a major oil export center of Iran.
Meanwhile, Israel has also carried out large-scale attacks in Tehran. It is clear from this that military activities are continuously increasing in the area.
Overall, the situation in the Middle East seems to be deteriorating rapidly. America's new military preparations, Iran's warning, and Israel's attacks—all these together indicate a big war. Although there is talk of peace talks, the situation on the ground still remains extremely sensitive.
