New Delhi: Weather conditions varied across the country on January 25th. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cold weather persisted in North India, while western and southern India experienced relatively stable and pleasant weather. Fog, cold winds, and occasional light rains in several states are disrupting normal life.

Cold weather persists in North India

The weather in North India currently remains cold but clear. The minimum temperature is around 14 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is around 24 degrees Celsius. Nighttime temperatures may drop to 9 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures are expected to hover around 19 degrees Celsius. It is a relief that no rain warning has been issued yet.

Cold winds in Northwest India

Cold winds blew in Northwest India in the morning. The minimum temperature here reached 6 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures may rise to 20 to 22 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, nights will remain cold.

Severe cold wave in northernmost parts

A severe cold wave continues in the northernmost parts of the country. Night temperatures have dropped to minus 18 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures remain around minus 7 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted the cold wave will continue in the coming days.

Mild Cold in Western India

The cold wave is relatively less severe in western India. The minimum temperature here is around 22 degrees Celsius and the maximum is between 26 and 27 degrees Celsius. Sea breezes are keeping the weather comfortable, and temperatures may rise slightly in the coming days.

Hot and Humid Weather in South India

The weather in South India remains hot and humid. Temperatures are being recorded between 24 and 27 degrees Celsius. Partly cloudy skies are observed in many cities, and a mild chill may be felt in the morning and evening.

The weather in the capital Delhi and surrounding areas is expected to be clear and pleasant today. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 19 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature around 6 degrees Celsius. After a light fog in the morning, the sun will shine brightly during the day, providing some relief from the cold. There is no possibility of rain before Republic Day.

The Meteorological Department has advised people to exercise caution in view of the cold and fog. People should be especially cautious while traveling during the morning and night hours. The cold may persist in the coming days.
