New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday greeted the nation on the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day and paid heartfelt tribute to the countless freedom fighters whose sacrifices secured India’s freedom.

In a message shared on social media, PM Modi said the courage, dedication and determination of freedom fighters continue to guide the country’s efforts towards building a developed India.

Freedom Fighters’ Dreams Guide Nation’s Progress

PM Modi highlighted that India, driven by the strength of 140 crore citizens, is achieving remarkable progress across multiple sectors. He expressed confidence that the country’s growth journey would continue with greater momentum in the coming years.

Remembering the heroes of the freedom struggle, the Prime Minister said their vision and sacrifices remain a source of inspiration for every Indian working towards the goal of Viksit Bharat.

Union Ministers Pay Tribute to National Heroes

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended Independence Day wishes and paid respects to freedom fighters. He urged citizens to take a pledge to contribute towards making India self-reliant, prosperous and developed.

Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called upon people to serve the nation with dedication, honesty and a strong sense of responsibility.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju recalled the long struggle for independence and said citizens must protect India’s unity, integrity and pride while working towards national progress.

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy and Defence Ministry’s Minister of State Sanjay Seth also remembered the sacrifices of freedom fighters and urged people to work together for a stronger and prosperous India.

India is celebrating its 80th Independence Day with nationwide programmes, remembering the sacrifices of those who fought for freedom and reaffirming the commitment to building a modern, developed and self-reliant nation.
