India-Pakistan Tensions: High-Level meeting focuses on security, health, and economy

New Delhi: In view of the ongoing tension on the India-Pakistan border and 'Operation Sindoor', high-level meetings were held in five major ministries of the Central Government on Friday. The purpose of these meetings was to comprehensively assess the situation in important areas like security, health, food supply and financial system.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, top officials and ministers of the country were present in the meetings, who discussed the upcoming strategies.

Défense Ministry meeting: Discussion on 'Operation Sindoor'

Défense Minister Rajnath Singh held a meeting with the chiefs of the three wings of the army and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan in South Block. The main topic of this meeting was an overview of the terrorist activities sponsored by Pakistan and the current situation of Operation Sindoor. During this, future military strategy, quick action and measures to strengthen the coordination of the army were discussed. It was decided in the meeting that the deployment and vigilance of military forces would be increased as per the need so that any possible threats could be faced on the border. Necessary decisions were taken regarding the vigilance and preparedness of the army, so that the protection of the sovereignty of the country can be ensured.

Ministry of Home Affairs: Review of Border and Internal Security

Home Minister Amit Shah held a meeting with key officials of the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), intelligence agencies and senior officials of the Home Ministry. In this meeting, the activities taking place on the border from Pakistan, the safety of citizens, and the security system of major institutions of the country were discussed. Special attention was focused on strengthening internal security and action against terrorist networks. It was also decided in the meeting that vigilance and surveillance on the border will be further intensified, and the quick response mechanism will be strengthened as required.

Ministry of Health: Assessment of Emergency Preparedness

Health Minister JP Nadda held a meeting with top officials of the ministry. During this, special attention was paid to the preparedness of hospitals, emergency services, availability of medical staff and strengthening the infrastructure to deal with adverse situations like Kovid-19. The ministry has sought a report of medical stock, necessary equipment and resources from all the states, so that necessary steps can be taken immediately as required. This step is an important initiative to deal with the national emergency situation.

Ministry of Finance: Special focus on cyber security

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman chaired a meeting in the evening to assess the cyber security system of banking and financial institutions. In this, cyber security measures of banks and financial companies were analyzed. It was decided in the meeting that quick response and security measures will be further strengthened in case of cyber attacks. Also, discussions were held on adopting new strategies and techniques in this subject so that the security of the financial system can be ensured.

Ministry of Agriculture: Assessment of food supply

Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan took stock of the food security system by holding a meeting with the concerned officials. In this meeting, the status of grain storage, distribution and supply chain was analyzed. The priority of the government is to ensure food supply even in an emergency situation. Emphasis was laid on taking necessary steps in this regard and strengthening the distribution system. This will ensure that the public does not face food shortage in any situation.

Prime Minister's high-level meeting

Amidst all these meetings, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a coordination meeting with the secretaries of various ministries and departments on Wednesday. National security, civil supply, and administrative arrangements were reviewed in this meeting. The Prime Minister directed all departments to strengthen the integrated response mechanism, so that any emergency situation can be dealt with effectively. The purpose of this meeting was to ensure coordinated efforts to maintain security and order in the country.
