Prime Minister Narendra Modi chairs meeting of Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS)
New Delhi: The CCS meeting was followed by a press conference by the Ministry of External Affairs. Considering the gravity of the terror attack, the CCS decided on the following stringent measures:
The CCS reviewed the security situation and directed all forces to remain alert. The terrorist attack on Tuesday in the tourist destination Pahalgam shook the whole country. The terrorists fired indiscriminately at the tourists, killing 28 innocent people, most of whom were tourists.
According to the Dynamite News correspondent, terrorists in army uniform targeted tourists riding ponies, picnicking and roaming near shops in the Bysaran Valley of South Kashmir. 28 people have died in the attack, including two foreigners and two local citizens. At least 24 people have been injured in the attack.
After the killing of innocent civilians by terrorists, the government is preparing to take big action. Government is considering surgical/air strike like Uri-Pulwama.
