New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate a two-day international conference on ‘The Future of Environment and Climate Dynamics’ organised by the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in New Delhi on September 19, according to officials.

The high-level conference aims to create a global platform for discussions, deliberations and the exchange of best practices on major environmental and climate-related challenges facing the world.

Top Leaders And Experts To Attend Event

The conference will be held at Vigyan Bhavan and will be attended by several key dignitaries, including Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant, Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav, Attorney General R Venkataramani and NGT Chairperson Justice Prakash Srivastava.

The valedictory session of the conference on September 20 will be attended by President Droupadi Murmu.

Judges, Officials And Environmental Experts To Participate

According to NGT officials, the conference will bring together judges from across the world, environmental experts, Supreme Court and High Court judges, district court representatives, government officials, ministry secretaries, state judicial academies and other stakeholders.

The event is expected to encourage international cooperation and provide a platform for sharing experiences related to environmental protection and climate governance.

Four Technical Sessions On Key Environmental Issues

The two-day conference will feature four technical sessions focusing on critical environmental issues. Discussions will revolve around challenges in climate action, environmental policies and the effective implementation of regulations.

The NGT said the conference aims to identify gaps in policy formulation and enforcement while promoting greater environmental awareness and sustainable solutions.
