BSc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration
BBA or MBA from the Indian Culinary Institute
BSc or MBA in Hotel Management
In addition to educational qualifications, applicants must possess a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in the hospitality industry.
The maximum age limit for candidates in the unreserved (general) category is 28 years. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, PwD, and Ex-Servicemen categories will be eligible for age relaxation as per government rules.
While the postings are primarily located in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka, the IRCTC reserves the right to transfer employees to any part of the country based on operational requirements.
The IRCTC offers an attractive compensation package for Hospitality Monitors. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary of Rs 30,000, along with additional benefits such as:
Daily Allowance: Rs 350
Outstation Lodging: Rs 240 per day
National Holiday Allowance: Rs 384 per day
Furthermore, IRCTC will provide medical insurance coverage for its employees. The insurance premium will be Rs 1,400 per month for those up to 35 years of age, and Rs 2,000 per month for candidates aged between 36 and 50 years.
