Srinagar:  The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is likely to convene its Autumn Session from September 21, according to sources familiar with the proposed legislative schedule. However, the final dates will be confirmed only after the official notification is issued by the competent authority.

This session will be an important one for deliberating on the matters concerning governance, welfare of citizens, economic growth, and policy execution in the Union Territory.

Issues Regarding Development, Employment and Welfare

Debates on many matters of concern to the citizens of Jammu & Kashmir are anticipated to take place during the session. The legislators are expected to ask about employment prospects, health care, education, infrastructure development, tourism and disaster management amongst others.

The members are expected to bring up their constituency-related problems through different legislative procedures such as debates and resolutions amongst others.

Government Bills And Opposition Questions Likely

During the session, the Jammu and Kashmir government is expected to introduce new bills and policy measures aimed at strengthening administration and development initiatives.

Meanwhile, the Opposition is likely to seek discussions on issues of public importance and question the implementation of various government schemes and welfare programmes.
