JEE Main 2026 April session dates revised
New Delhi: The Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2026 April session dates have been revised by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
As per the updated schedule, the session two exams will now be conducted from April 2 to April 8, 2026. Earlier, the examination window was set from April 2 to April 9.

According to the revised timetable, Paper 1 (BE/BTech) will be held on April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8. Meanwhile, Paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning) is scheduled for April 7.
The staggered schedule allows candidates to appear in different slots depending on their course selection.
The NTA has also released the exam city intimation slip for the April session. Candidates can download it from the official website.
To access the city slip, candidates need to log in using their application number and date of birth. The document provides details about the allotted exam city, helping candidates plan their travel in advance.

The admit card for the April session is expected to be released three to four days before the examination. Candidates will likely be able to download their hall tickets by March 30.

Earlier, the January session of JEE Main 2026 was conducted between January 21 and January 30. The exam is held in multiple sessions each year, giving candidates more than one opportunity to improve their scores.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for updates and ensure that all required documents are downloaded in advance. Carrying a printed copy of the admit card to the exam centre is mandatory.
