New Delhi: Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is starting again from 30 June 2024. This journey will start after 5 years as it was stopped in 2020 due to tension with China. This is a matter of great joy for Shiva devotees, reports Dynamite News correspondent. This journey can be taken through two routes - from Lipulekh Pass in Uttarakhand or Nathula Pass in Sikkim.

The total cost of going via Uttarakhand will be around Rs 1.74 lakh. This includes Rs 5,000 advance, Rs 51,000 travel fee, Rs 8,000 medical test, Rs 2,400 Chinese visa and Rs 4,000 other expenses. The cost of going via Sikkim will be more - about Rs 2.83 lakh.

15 groups of 50-50 people will be formed for the journey. 10 groups will travel from Sikkim for 21 days while 5 groups will go from Uttarakhand. The journey involves walking 52-55 kilometers.

The central government does not give subsidy on the journey, but some state governments do. The Uttar Pradesh government gives assistance of Rs 1 lakh, Haryana government Rs 50,000 and Uttarakhand government Rs 25,000. To get the subsidy, one has to apply on the website of the respective state.

The journey will run from June to August. The registration process has started. This holy journey is very important for Shiva devotees. This journey is starting again after 5 years, so this time the number of pilgrims is expected to be very high.

One should prepare well for the journey. It is important to take care of health because going to height can cause problems. The government has made all the necessary arrangements for the journey. Now Shiva devotees are just waiting for their turn.
