Kishtwar: A gun battle is currently underway between security forces and terrorists in the Dolgam area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sources said that three security personnel were injured during the exchange of fire and have been shifted to the military hospital in Udhampur, where they are undergoing treatment.

The operation is being led by the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps and has been codenamed Operation Trashi-I. Contact with the terrorists was re-established early on Saturday, following which security forces stepped up search and combing operations in the region.

Teams from the Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have jointly sealed off the area.

Security forces remain on high alert and are continuing efforts to track down the terrorists, while closely monitoring the evolving situation.
