Ladakh Earthquake Today: 5.5 Magnitude Quake Hits Leh, No Damage Reported So Far

New Delhi:  An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 on the Richter scale struck Ladakh’s Leh region early Thursday morning. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the tremors were recorded at around 6:05 am. No casualties or property damage have been reported so far.

Quake Struck at a Depth of 10 Kilometres

The National Centre for Seismology stated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres beneath the Earth’s surface. The exact epicentre of the earthquake has not been revealed yet. Initial reports suggest that tremors were felt in parts of the region, but there are no immediate reports of major destruction.
