Minutes after take-off, Virgin Atlantic aircraft returns safely to Bengaluru
Bengaluru: A major aviation scare unfolded on Sunday when a London-bound Virgin Atlantic flight carrying 270 passengers was forced to return to Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport after detecting a technical problem shortly after take-off. The aircraft remained airborne near Tumakuru for more than 30 minutes before making a safe emergency landing, bringing relief to passengers and their families.
The incident has drawn attention as aviation authorities begin examining the cause of the technical issue, while questions remain over what triggered the mid-air problem and how the situation was handled.
The Virgin Atlantic flight departed from Kempegowda International Airport at around 8:20 am with London as its destination. However, soon after entering the air, the flight crew noticed a technical issue and decided to return to Bengaluru as a safety measure.
