

Despite the prohibitions imposed by the Government on the import of Pakistani-origin goods, three Indian importers violated the prohibition and imported the said consignments.
DRI Mumbai seizes 800 MT Pakistan-origin goods
Mumbai: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) has seized 28 containers carrying 800 metric tonnes of Pakistan-origin Cosmetics and dry dates valued at about Rs 12 crore at Nhava Sheva Port here in Mumbai, said an official release on Sunday.
The release further said that the action is part of "Operation Deep Manifest," which has been launched after the Government imposed a ban on the import of Pakistani-origin goods from 2 May after the Pahalgam terror attack.
Despite the prohibitions imposed by the Government on the import of Pakistani-origin goods, three Indian importers violated the prohibition and imported the said consignments. The consignments contain Pakistani Dry dates and Cosmetics. These goods were booked at Jebel Ali Port in Dubai by falsely declaring them as originating from the UAE.
