New Delhi: The Delhi Police have arrested four suspects, thereby foiling a major terror conspiracy. These individuals are reported to hail from various states: Maharashtra, Odisha, and Bihar. According to the police, the accused were planning to carry out multiple attacks within the national capital, Delhi.

How ​​Were the Attacks Being Prepared?

The investigation has revealed that the accused possessed two remote-controlled toy cars, which they were modifying to carry out attacks in addition to IEDs.

The Red Fort: A Potential Target

The Red Fort is being identified as the potential target for these planned attacks. According to the police, the accused had signaled their intentions by using images of the Red Fort alongside black flags.

Influenced by Radical Ideology

The police state that the accused were influenced by radical ideologies. They were promoting concepts such as the establishment of a "Caliphate" (Khilafat) and propagating slogans like "Ghazwa-e-Hind." Through these means, they were also attempting to radicalize and influence others.

Use of Social Media

The investigation further revealed that the accused utilized social media to disseminate their views and attempted to recruit others to their cause. They employed specific symbols and messages as part of their propaganda efforts.

Timely Intervention

Thanks to the vigilance of the Delhi Police, this conspiracy was thwarted in the nick of time. Had this plot succeeded, it could have resulted in catastrophic damage within the national capital.
