Jammu: A man died under suspicious circumstances in Jammu on Tuesday. The deceased's body was found in a pool of blood, causing a stir in the area. Police have taken the matter seriously and launched an investigation.

Suspicion of a sharp-edged weapon stabbed his neck

According to police officials, the deceased has been identified as Balveer Singh, a resident of the Chatha Farm area. His body was found lying on the ground in a pool of blood, with severe injuries to his neck. Preliminary investigations suggest that an unknown person attacked him with a sharp-edged weapon.

Declared dead at hospital

Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene, took possession of the body, and sent it to the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for a post-mortem examination. Doctors there declared him dead. Police say the exact cause of death will be clear only after the post-mortem report is received.

Police Register Case

An FIR has been registered at the Satwari police station under Section 103 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Police have registered a case and launched an investigation, and inquiries are underway in the surrounding area.

Late Night Incident, Investigation Underway

The incident is reported to have occurred late Monday night. Police are currently trying to determine whether it was a murder or some other motive. Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area and searching for suspects.
