Manoj Sinha chairs high-level review of Kashmir law and order; Calls for vigilance

Srinagar: Manoj Sinha on Tuesday chaired a high-level security review meeting at the Police Control Room (PCR) in Srinagar to assess the prevailing law and order situation across the Kashmir Valley.

The meeting was attended by senior police and civil administration officials, including Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, Special DG (Coordination) S J M Gillani, ADGP Armed Anand Jain, ADGP CID Nitish Kumar, IGP Kashmir V K Birdi, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg, DIG Central Kashmir Range Rajiv Pandey, and Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo.

During the review, the Lieutenant Governor directed officials to remain on high alert and take all necessary steps to maintain public peace and tranquillity across the Valley. He emphasised the need for close coordination between the police and civil administration to effectively address any emerging situation.

Sinha also appealed to citizens and community leaders to actively contribute towards maintaining harmony and social stability.

“Preserving peace and sustaining the progress of society is a shared responsibility of all,” he said.

In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor reiterated the importance of vigilance and urged the public to cooperate with authorities in ensuring communal harmony and continued peace in the region.
