Rohtak: Residents of Rohtak district felt mild earthquake tremors on Sunday afternoon, prompting brief panic in the area. The quake measured 3.3 on the Richter scale.

The earthquake struck at 12:13 PM, with its epicenter located about 17 kilometers southeast of Rohtak, between the villages of Sampla and Ismaila. It occurred at a shallow depth of 5 kilometers, with coordinates recorded at 28.78 latitude and 76.73 longitude, which caused the tremors to be felt in nearby areas as well.

Many people reportedly rushed out of their homes and offices when the tremors were felt. Fortunately, due to the quake’s low intensity, no casualties or property damage have been reported.

Experts noted that earthquakes of this magnitude are considered normal and are unlikely to cause significant damage. Local authorities continue to monitor the situation.
