‘Mission to bring yoga and Ayurveda to every home…’: Acharya Balkrishna birthday celebrated as Jadi Buti Diwas

Haridwar: The birthday Acharya Balkrishna is being celebrated today as Jadi Buti Diwas across the country. The main celebrations began here in Haridwar with Havan where all the members of Patanjali and Arya Sabha prayed participated and prayed for the long life and good health of Acharya Balkrishna, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

After the Havan, several medicinal plants including Amla, Giloy, Baheda, Reetha, Neem, Aloe Vera, Ashwagandha, Sarpagandha, Amaltas were planted in the Gaushala premises. A large number of dignitaries were in attendance on this occasion.

Acharya Balkrishna is the Chairman and CEO of Patanjali and the driving force behind Patanjali's tremendous success globally.

On his birthday Acharya Balkrishna has invoked the people to give respect to the herbal plants to find joy in life. He took to social media X and wrote, 'We should do such work in the name of birthday that inspires people, brings happiness in life and there is a sense of satisfaction and joy in life. Distribution of herbs, planting, blood donation, ritual of yagya, nothing can be better than this.'

Acharya Balkrishna Journey

Whenever Patanjali is named, most people associate it with yoga guru Baba Ramdev. However, another powerful success story of this indigenous brand is of "Acharya Balkrishna". As the Chairman and CEO of Patanjali Ayurveda, Acharya Balkrishna gave the brand a strong scientific and economic base. Balkrishna ji, who works quietly, is called the real backbone of Patanjali.

Born on 4 August 1972 in Haridwar to a Nepali family, Acharya Balkrishna was educated at Gurukul Khanpur, Haryana. It was here that he met Baba Ramdev, which later turned into a strong partnership.

Divya Yoga Mandir Trust

In 1995, Divya Yoga Mandir Trust was established by Baba Ramdev and Acharya Karmaveer. After this, Patanjali Ayurveda was started in 2006. While Baba Ramdev became the face of the brand, Acharya Balkrishna took over the entire organizational responsibility. Interestingly, Balkrishna works 15 hours a day, but he does not take any salary from the company.
