CJP stir continues at Jantar Mantar amid heavy barricading across Delhi (Img: Pinterest)
New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) resumed its agitation on Wednesday with thousands of protesters assembling at Jantar Mantar. Party spokespersons claimed the crowd would continue to grow if the Centre failed to respond to their demands, including the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination.
Delhi Police maintained extensive security arrangements around Parliament House, Rafi Marg and other key locations as the protest entered another day. Barricades remained in place to prevent demonstrators from moving toward high-security zones. Protesters who returned to Jantar Mantar after Monday's police action have continued their sit-in despite heightened security.
Authorities have registered six FIRs in connection with the violence and vandalism reported during Monday's "Chalo Sansad" march. According to police, the investigation is examining allegations of unlawful assembly, damage to public property and a possible larger criminal conspiracy behind the incidents.

Opposition MPs arrived in Parliament wearing black attire on Wednesday to protest against the alleged police action on student demonstrators during the recent CJP protest in Delhi. The symbolic protest took place amid the ongoing Monsoon Session, with leaders demanding accountability over the police crackdown and calling for a discussion on student-related issues inside both Houses.
Activists from the ‘Hindus for Human Rights’ gathered at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in New York City’s Union Square and San Jose on Monday evening, carrying placards bearing slogans in support of Mr. Wangchuk.

The Delhi High Court will hear today a plea challenging the police action against students and other protesters when activist Sonam Wangchuk was removed from the protest site at Jantar Mantar.
The petition seeks an independent investigation into the police operation carried out on July 18 and asks the court to direct authorities to preserve CCTV footage, body camera recordings and other evidence related to the incident. It also calls for guidelines to safeguard the constitutional right to peaceful protest and to prevent arbitrary police action against demonstrators in the future.
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, addressing a press conference, said, "Yesterday was a very shameful day in the history of India's democracy. Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi forcibly staged a sit-in outside the gate of the Prime Minister's residence without any permission. He knows the dignity associated with the Prime Minister's residence. Yet, the kind of irresponsible conduct he displayed deserves strong condemnation. The Prime Minister's security is of utmost importance."
The report, citing sources, said around eight to nine FIRs have been registered in connection with the incidents so far. The Delhi Police had on Tuesday registered five FIRs so far in connection with alleged violence, stone-pelting and vandalism during Monday's protest at Jantar Mantar.
Students of the Aryabhatta College under Delhi University collected an amount of ₹8,000 and bought sanitary pads, ORS packs and other food items for the protesting students.
Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) representative Ashutosh Ranka on Wednesday warned the Union government that the youth of the country would "take them down very badly" if it failed to address the demands of the ongoing protest, saying that the July 20 demonstration was only a "trailer". "This is the biggest movement in India's post-independence history...We have said this very clearly: what happened on 20th was a trailer. If the Govt doesn't agree, millions more will come to Delhi because this time we will not hold back and stay silent...The Govt really needs to get its act together; otherwise, the Youth of this country is going to take them down very badly," Ranka said.
Every few minutes, a new delivery person stopped at the intersection to deliver food to the protest site, but to no particular person.
