History of Khajrana Ganesh Temple

The splendor of Vinayak Chaturthi in the temple is worth seeing. Which is celebrated with great pomp every year in the months of August and September. It is said that to save the idol of Lord Ganesha from Aurangzeb, it was hidden in a well. Later in the year 1735, Ahilyabai Holkar got it out and built a temple here. Initially, this temple was like a small hut, but now it has become a grand temple.

By air - The nearest airport to reach here is Devi Ahilya International Airport Indore.
By rail- Indore railway station is connected to major cities of the country. The distance of the temple from the railway station is about 5 km.
By road- You will get buses from major cities like Bhopal, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Lucknow. There are two bus stands in the city- Sarvate Bus Stand and Gangwal Bus Stand. To reach Indore, one can easily reach through National Highway NH-3 and NH-59A.
What is the miracle of the inverted Swastik?
In Khajrana temple, people make an inverted Swastik symbol on the wall behind the temple of Lord Ganesha, i.e. on the back of Ganesha and after the wish is fulfilled, they come again and make a straight Swastik. It is said that this practice has been going on here for many years. It is believed that making an inverted Swastik in this temple fulfills every wish. Another belief is that tying a thread while doing three rounds of the temple also fulfills wishes.
