Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari on Friday alleged that there have been multiple scams in the recruitment process in the state, with the government providing protection to the perpetrators.

Addressing a press conference here, Patwari claimed that the state government has been involved in 42 scams and has a list of these alleged irregularities.

Vyapam Scam

Patwari also referenced the Vyapam scam, saying that not a single accused has been convicted, and all have been acquitted. "What kind of justice is this?" said Patwari, questioning the justice system.

Patwari mentioned the recent police constable recruitment scam, alleging that "fake candidates" were seated through solver gangs. He said 16 FIRs have been registered, but no concrete action seems to be forthcoming.

Additionally, Patwari alleged that around 50,000 employees are "missing" in the state, with their salaries, amounting to approximately Rs 250 crore, not being withdrawn. He claimed that the government has formed an inquiry committee to locate these employees.

He also raised questions about the whereabouts of Rs 12,500 crore, calculated based on the alleged missing salaries over the past 25 years. Patwari further alleged that the government is taking loans without accounting for this massive amount.
