Two dead after car falls into Kalisindh river
Indore: An accident took place on Sunday on the British-era bridge built on the Kalisindh river in Mokhapiplya area, which is included in the danger zone in terms of accidents on the Indore-Betul National Highway.
A car coming from Khategaon lost control and fell into the river when a truck came from the front on the bridge. People could not get out in time as the doors of the car were locked.
Seeing the car fall, the villagers present on the spot jumped into the river, the police also reached shortly.

According to the information received from the police, Chandigarh resident of Uchya Tevan, Anandraj resident of Indore, OP resident of Amritsar, Ilaiyaraja resident of Jaipur were in the car. OP and Anand died in this.
Bagli SDOP Srishti Bhargava said that due to some reason the car went out of control and fell into the river, there was no collision with the truck coming from the front.
After the accident, Mokhapiplya's Sarpanch Jitendra Singh, Arjun Singh son Bane Singh Darbar, Arjun Singh son Vikram Singh, Suraj Singh son Gulab Singh, Rajpal son Anar Singh etc. entered the river, while breaking the glass many villagers got injured in hands and legs by the glass. According to the villagers, there was about 8-10 feet of water where the car fell.
The bridge is narrow, there is a long history of accidents
According to the villagers, the bridge built on the Kalisindh river in Mokhapiplya is from the British era. Accidents have become a common thing here. Vehicles keep overturning and falling into the river even during the rainy season and other days. If a vehicle breaks down on the bridge, then a long jam of several kilometers also occurs.
