Rajya Sabha Oath Ceremony: 19 New Members Sworn In, Full List Inside

Nineteen newly elected Rajya Sabha Members from four states took oath of affirmation today on Monday in the Rajya Sabha chambers.

New Rajya Sabha members take oath

New Delhi: Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan administered oath of office to the 19 members from four state under the article 99 of the Constitution. Veteran NCP leader Sharad Pawar took oath in a wheel chair.

The newly elected Rajya Sabha members comprised 5 from Maharashtra, 6 from Tamil Nadu, 5 from West Bengal and 3 from Odisha.

Deputy Chairman Harivansh and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju were present during the ceremony in the Rajya Sabha chamber.

Floor leaders of respective parties were also present in the House.
