NEET Re-Exam 2026: Railways to run special trains between Indore, Bhopal and Ratlam; Check timings and route

Indian Railways has announced two special trains on June 20 to help NEET-UG re-exam candidates and other passengers travel conveniently between Indore, Bhopal and Ratlam ahead of the June 21 examination.

Bhopal: To facilitate the movement of students appearing for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination and manage the anticipated surge in passenger traffic, Indian Railways will operate two special trains connecting Indore, Bhopal and Ratlam on June 20.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is scheduled to conduct the NEET UG re-examination on June 21 after the earlier examination was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak.

Special Trains Announced for NEET Candidates

According to West Central Railway Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Harshit Shrivastava, train number 09354 will run as a special service from Indore to Bhopal via Ratlam, while train number 09353 will operate from Bhopal to Ratlam.

Both trains will comprise 17 coaches, including 13 sleeper class coaches, two general coaches and two SLR/D (Second Class Luggage-cum-Disabled) coaches.

Indore-Bhopal Special Train Schedule

Train number 09354 will depart from Indore at 11:25 AM on June 20 and reach Bhopal at 7:00 PM the same day.

The train will halt at:

• Fatehabad Chandrawatiganj Junction
• Badnagar
• Ratlam
• Nagda
• Ujjain
• Maksi
• Shujalpur
• Sehore
• Sant Hirdaram Nagar

before arriving in Bhopal.

Bhopal-Ratlam Special Train Schedule

Train number 09353 will leave Bhopal at 7:40 PM on June 20 and arrive in Ratlam at 12:55 AM the next day.

The train will stop at:

• Sant Hirdaram Nagar
• Sehore
• Shujalpur
• Maksi
• Ujjain
• Nagda

during its journey.

Railways Appeals for Early Arrival

Railway authorities said the special services are expected to significantly benefit NEET candidates travelling to examination centres as well as regular passengers commuting between the three cities.

Officials have advised students and their family members to reach stations well in advance, follow railway guidelines and cooperate with staff to ensure smooth and safe travel.

Several States Announce Travel Concessions

In addition to the railway services, several states have announced special travel assistance for NEET re-exam candidates.

Punjab, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Delhi have announced free bus travel facilities for candidates. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a 50 per cent concession on UPSRTC bus fares for NEET aspirants travelling on June 21 upon producing their admit cards.

The initiatives are aimed at ensuring hassle-free travel for students appearing in the crucial medical entrance examination.
