NTA Extends Bank Detail Correction Deadline (Image Internet)
New Delhi: Candidates eligible for a refund of the NEET UG 2026 examination fee have been given more time to verify or modify their bank account details on the National Testing Agency (NTA) portal. As per the latest notification, the refund window will remain open until July 7, 2026, at 11:50 pm.
The NTA said the deadline has been extended to ensure that all eligible candidates can complete the process smoothly and receive their refunds without any difficulty.
The refund facility is available to candidates who appeared for the cancelled NEET UG 2026 examination conducted on May 3, 2026. Through the online refund portal, candidates can check, confirm, edit, or update their bank account information. The NTA has urged applicants to carefully verify details such as their account number, IFSC code, and other banking information before submitting the form, as the refund amount will be transferred directly to the verified bank account provided on the portal.
What Led To The Extension Of The Deadline?
The NTA had earlier asked candidates to submit their bank account details to facilitate the refund of examination fees. However, after receiving several requests from candidates regarding incorrect bank account numbers and IFSC codes, the agency reopened the correction window on June 25.
To ensure that every eligible candidate receives the refund without any issues, the NTA has now extended the facility until July 7, 2026, at 11:50 pm. During this period, candidates can view, verify, correct, or update their bank account details
1) Visit the official NEET website: neet.nta.nic.in.
2) Click the link labeled "Final Opportunity to Confirm/Update Bank Account Details for NEET (UG) 2026 Fee Refund (Exam held on 03 May 2026)".
3) Log in with your application credentials and open your candidate dashboard.
4) Check your bank account details carefully. Update any incorrect or missing information.
5) Review all entries, then submit the confirmation.
6) Download and save the confirmation page (take a screenshot or print a copy) for future reference.
