New Delhi: National Testing Agency (NTA) Director General Abhishek Singh on Tuesday said that the revised schedule for NEET UG 2026 will be announced within the next 7 to 10 days.
The announcement comes after the cancellation of the examination conducted on May 3, 2026, following allegations of paper leaks and irregularities that triggered a nationwide controversy and CBI investigation.
Speaking to students, Abhishek Singh said the decision on new exam dates is being taken in consultation with the NTA team.
“I am trying to decide this along with my team. When they told me that you were here and waiting for me, I thought I should come and speak with you,” he said.
His remarks come at a time when more than 20 lakh candidates are awaiting clarity on the revised examination timeline.

With the exam cancelled, aspirants across the country remain in uncertainty regarding preparation schedules and admission timelines.
