New Delhi: The NEET UG 2026 re-exam, scheduled for June 21, 2026, will now include an additional 15 minutes, extending the total examination duration from 3 hours to 3 hours and 15 minutes.
According to an official notice, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the change as a candidate-friendly measure aimed at reducing exam-related anxiety and minimising the chances of errors during the test.
The overall examination window has been increased to 195 minutes, with the test scheduled to be conducted from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM on June 21, 2026.
Officials stated that the additional time buffer will help students manage mandatory pre- and post-exam formalities, including attendance-related procedures conducted by invigilators.
As part of the revised arrangements, candidates will also be provided with additional rough sheets. The number of rough sheets has been doubled to four, particularly to assist in solving Physics and Chemistry problems that require extensive calculations.
Education authorities said these measures are intended to make the examination process smoother and more student-friendly while ensuring better time management during the test.
