NEET UG 2026 to switch to computer-based test
New Delhi: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG will transition to a computer-based test (CBT) format starting next year, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced. Currently conducted in pen-and-paper mode, this shift aims to modernize the exam experience and speed up evaluation.
Meanwhile, the NEET re-exam for 2026 is scheduled for June 21, with admit cards to be issued by June 14. Candidates appearing for the re-exam will have the option to choose their own exam centre and will be granted an extra 15 minutes to complete the test. Importantly, no application fee will be required for the re-exam.
