New Delhi: Capital began the day under misty skies, creating reduced visibility in several parts of the city during the early hours. While the haze dominated the morning, weather conditions are expected to gradually clear as temperatures rise sharply through the afternoon. Residents stepping out early experienced warm and humid conditions despite the presence of mist.
The capital is forecast to witness a maximum temperature of 40.5°C, making it another intensely hot day. The minimum temperature is expected to remain at 33.9°C, offering little overnight relief from the persistent heat. Such high temperatures are likely to make outdoor activities uncomfortable during peak afternoon hours, prompting people to stay hydrated and limit prolonged exposure to the sun.
Although hot weather will dominate much of the day, forecasts indicate a 36% probability of rainfall. While widespread showers are not expected, isolated spells of rain could develop in some areas and provide temporary relief from the soaring temperatures. Residents are advised to keep track of changing weather conditions before making outdoor plans.
Humidity is expected to hover around 40%, contributing to a warm atmosphere throughout the day. Atmospheric pressure is likely to remain close to 100 kPa, while the UV index of 3.6 suggests a moderate level of ultraviolet radiation during daylight hours. Sunrise occurred at 5:26 AM, with sunset expected at 7:22 PM, ensuring long daylight hours across the city.
Weather forecasts suggest conditions may become comparatively milder tomorrow. Temperatures are expected to range between 29.2°C and 35.3°C, offering some respite from today's extreme heat. Even so, residents should continue monitoring daily weather updates as conditions can change quickly during the season.
