Pune: The investigation into the death of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal has taken a new turn after the cab driver who transported Agarwal and murder accused Siya Goyal to Mumbai Airport shared details about their journey before the alleged crime.

Agarwal and Goyal were travelling to Bali for a pre-wedding photoshoot when they hired a cab from Pune to reach the airport. The driver’s statement has now become part of the ongoing police investigation.

Driver Claims Argument Took Place During Journey

According to the driver, Siya was initially unwilling to leave for Bali and allegedly refused to enter the vehicle. He claimed that her brother Sahil brought her into the cab before the journey began.

The driver further alleged that Siya and Sahil had an argument while travelling from Pune towards Ravet in Pimpri-Chinchwad. Later, at Kiwale Lodha, Ketan and some of his family members reportedly joined the ride towards Mumbai Airport.

Passport Mystery After Food Court Stop

The driver told investigators that the group stopped at a food court for refreshments during the trip. He alleged that Siya returned to the parked cab while others were away, claiming she needed to collect something, and later rejoined the group.

After reaching Mumbai Airport, Ketan reportedly contacted the driver and said some belongings had been left inside the cab, including his passport.

The driver returned to help recover the items, but Ketan’s passport was reportedly missing. Investigators are examining whether the passport was taken during the stop.

Police Recreate Lohagad Crime Scene

Police recently took Siya Goyal to Lohagad Fort to recreate the alleged crime scene using a dummy. The exercise was conducted to understand the sequence of events surrounding Agarwal’s death on June 18.

Police allege that Agarwal was pushed from the fort cliff in Pune district by Siya and her alleged accomplice Chetan Chaudhary. Both have been arrested in connection with the case.

Investigators are also examining statements from Siya’s family members as they continue to piece together the events leading up to the incident.
