Baisan: This is big news of the moment—the NIA team has now returned to Pahalgam after investigating in Baisan Valley. NIA probes Baisan Valley attack using 3D mapping, drone surveys, and eyewitness accounts; over 100 detained for questioning.

This team comprised more than 12 officers, including technical experts. The team investigated in Baisan Valley for several hours and then returned to Pahalgam, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The investigation team conducted a thorough investigation at the site of the incident, where they also did 3D mapping of the entire area with the help of technical means.

This NIA team interrogated the local people and also recorded the statements of eyewitnesses. The investigation so far has made it clear that mainly three terrorists were involved in the attack that took place on April 22.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, one terrorist came from the exit gate of Baisan Valley, while the other two terrorists entered from the entry gate. Based on the statements of more than 25 eyewitnesses, the NIA has started understanding the complete picture of the incident.

The NIA team also used drone cameras in the area to check whether the terrorists had hidden any weapons or left any other evidence. During this investigation, the team searched the area thoroughly for about 6 hours.

The area of Baisan Valley is very dense and forested, so 3D mapping and drone surveys were very important to understand from which route the terrorists came and in which direction they escaped.

At present, more than 100 people are being questioned in custody at Pahalgam Police Station. Many of these are local people who are being questioned about their contact and suspicious activities.

Apart from this, a person named Muzamil, who is a zip line operator, has also been detained and is being continuously interrogated.

The forensic team also reached the spot and collected the necessary samples.

The 12-member NIA team has investigated every aspect and tried to get to the bottom of the matter on the basis of eyewitness statements, the condition of the scene, and technical evidence.

The investigation is still on, and more revelations are likely to come out in the coming days.
