New Delhi: The month of April has brought a varied weather to North India this year. While the heat hasn't fully intensified, rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms have worsened the situation in many states. This weather is proving particularly detrimental for farmers. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain and hailstorms for the next few days in several states, including Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Weather to Change Again in Delhi-NCR

The weather in Delhi-NCR has been pleasant for the past few days. Intermittent rain and strong winds have not only provided relief from the heat but have also kept pollution levels under control. According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued for thunderstorms, lightning, and light rain in the capital on April 7. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature between 17 and 21 degrees Celsius. The weather is expected to be mixed between April 8 and 11.

Hailstorms and Rain in Several States

According to meteorologists, a strong western disturbance is developing, which will be felt between April 7 and 9. During this period, strong winds, rain, and hailstorms are expected in Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and parts of Madhya Pradesh. This system could affect approximately 30 to 40 percent of the country.

The weather in Rajasthan will begin to change from April 6, with its effects peaking on April 7. On this day, strong winds with speeds of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour are expected in many areas, along with the possibility of moderate to heavy rain and hailstorms.

Alert in Uttar Pradesh

Several districts in Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Saharanpur, Aligarh, and Jhansi, have been warned of heavy rain and hailstorms between April 6 and 8. The Meteorological Department says this change is being caused by a western disturbance, which could lead to sudden changes in the weather.

Snowfall and Alert in Hilly States

The weather remains poor in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Snowfall and rain continue in the high altitude areas. An orange alert has been issued for several districts in Himachal, where hailstorms, lightning, and strong winds are expected. Bad weather is also expected in Uttarakhand from April 6 to 8.

Heat to increase after April 15

Although the weather is providing relief now, it will not last long. According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures will rise sharply after April 15, and severe heat is expected in the last week of the month. A heat wave is also predicted, which could make people suffer from the heat.
