Bandipora: After the Pahalgam terror attack, security forces have killed Lashkar-e-Taiba's top commander Altaf Lali in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter between security forces and terrorists is going on.

This top Lashkar terrorist was wanted in many cases. Two army personnel have also been injured in this operation, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

This encounter in Bandipora has taken place at a time when Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi are on a visit to Jammu and Kashmir after the Pahalgam attack.

How did the encounter happen?

The encounter with terrorists started on Friday morning in Kulnar area of ​​Bandipora district. According to police sources, the security forces launched a search operation after receiving intelligence about suspicious activities. During the search, the hiding terrorists started firing, in which two security personnel were injured. The injured soldiers were immediately rushed to the hospital, while the operation was continued by cordoning off the area.

Army Chief's visit

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi will reach Jammu and Kashmir today and take stock of the situation after the Pahalgam attack. There is also a possibility of him going to Pahalgam. It is worth noting that on April 22, the day after the terrorist attack on the Baisaran rally in Pahalgam, Home Minister Amit Shah himself reached the spot and took the ground report.

Search operation is also going on in Udhampur. Havildar Jantu Ali Sheikh was martyred in yesterday's encounter. As soon as the information about the presence of terrorists was received, the security forces started the operation, during which the terrorists started firing.
