New Delhi: The weather in Delhi-NCR remains quite pleasant at this moment. Even in the month of March, a slight chill is still perceptible, while the summer heat is almost entirely absent. Mild sunshine prevails, accompanied by cool winds blowing at speeds of 15–25 km/h.

Today’s Weather (March 22)

Today, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 31°C, with the minimum ranging between 13°C and 14°C. Throughout the day, a mix of mild sunshine, intermittent cloud cover, and cool winds will ensure the weather remains comfortable.

Rain and Gusty Winds on Monday

The week may begin with rainfall. Light rain is forecast for Monday, potentially accompanied by strong winds and gusts blowing at speeds of 20–40 km/h. This weather pattern is expected to impact not only Delhi but also the neighboring regions of Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Faridabad, and Greater Noida.

Forecast for March 24 to 27

According to the IMD (India Meteorological Department), there will be no significant change in temperatures over the next few days:

March 24: 30°C / 15°C

March 25: 31°C / 16°C

March 26: 31°C / 17°C

March 27: 32°C / 17°C

In other words, the weather is expected to remain mildly cool and pleasant.

AQI and Air Quality Status

Air quality levels in Delhi-NCR remain in the 'Moderate' category. The Air Quality Index (AQI) currently ranges between 160 and 185—a level that is neither severely poor nor entirely clean.

What happens after March 27?

The Meteorological Department indicates that temperatures are likely to rise after March 27, marking a gradual return of the summer heat. The spell of rainfall is also expected to subside, as there are currently no new western disturbances appearing to be active in the region.

For the time being, the residents of Delhi-NCR continue to enjoy a welcome respite from the summer heat. Mild chill, rain, and cool winds have made the weather pleasant, but this relief is not expected to last for long.
