New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing a major youth-focused campaign ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17, with a special focus on connecting with Gen-Z and first-time voters across India.

The party has started planning a nationwide outreach programme aimed at strengthening communication with young Indians, particularly those in the 14 to 22 age group. The initiative will highlight Prime Minister Modi’s journey of 25 years in public service, from his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister to his years as Prime Minister.

According to sources, BJP president Nitin Nabin, along with senior party leaders B L Santosh and Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, are expected to guide state-level leaders through a special training session to prepare campaign strategies and youth engagement programmes.

The move comes as political parties increasingly focus on younger voters, with digital platforms, campus outreach and direct communication becoming key tools in election strategies.

BJP Plans Nationwide Youth Connect Campaign

A meeting was reportedly held at the BJP headquarters where selected state leaders discussed plans for the upcoming youth outreach initiatives. The training programme is expected to focus on how party leaders can effectively communicate government policies, welfare schemes and development initiatives among young audiences.

The BJP’s youth wing, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), is also planning a special bike rally from Vadnagar in Gujarat to Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh as a tribute to Prime Minister Modi.

Vadnagar holds significance as Modi’s birthplace, while Varanasi is his parliamentary constituency, making the route symbolically important for the party’s campaign.

Modi@25 And Seva Pakhwada Events

The BJP has planned multiple programmes under the broader campaign to mark Modi’s birthday and his 25-year journey in public life. The three major initiatives include Youth Connect Programme, Modi@25 and Seva Pakhwada.

Through these programmes, the party aims to engage students, young professionals and new voters by highlighting government initiatives, social service activities and leadership milestones associated with Modi’s political career. The campaign is expected to include interactions at colleges, universities, hostels, coaching centres and youth clubs.

BJP Focuses On First-Time Voters And Gen-Z

The latest outreach strategy reflects the growing importance of young voters in India’s political landscape. With millions of first-time voters entering the electoral system, political parties are increasingly investing in youth-centric communication campaigns to build long-term connections.

The BJP plans to increase direct engagement with students and young citizens through discussions, awareness programmes and social initiatives. The party’s focus on Gen-Z comes amid changing patterns of political communication, where young voters are influenced by digital content, social media conversations and issues related to education, employment and opportunities.

Youth Outreach After Political Challenges

The BJP’s renewed focus on young voters comes after recent youth-related political developments, including protests and public debates over issues affecting students and young citizens.

The party has prioritised stronger dialogue with youth groups and plans to expand its presence in educational institutions and youth networks. Political observers believe the campaign will be aimed at strengthening the party’s connection with younger generations ahead of future electoral challenges.

PM Modi’s Upcoming Delhi Programme

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in an event at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, on September 5, which coincides with Teachers’ Day celebrations.

The programme is expected to provide another platform for direct interaction with students and highlight the importance of youth participation in nation-building.

The saffron party is expected to finalise the detailed schedule of youth outreach programmes in the coming days. State units will prepare local-level strategies to connect with students, young voters and community groups.

BJP plans to make the campaign one of the party’s major youth engagement drives focused on building a stronger connection with India’s next generation of voters.
