Barpeta/Hojai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the election rally in Barpeta and Hojai, Assam, made a sharp attack on the Congress party. He said that while India is taking strict steps against terrorism, Congress seems to be speaking in favor of Pakistan, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

‘Operation Sindoor’ and allegations against Congress

PM Modi said that India took steps like 'Operation Sindoor' against terrorist hideouts, but Congress raised questions on these actions. He alleged that Congress always speaks the language of Pakistan, which is not in the interest of the country.

Development vs Politics

The Prime Minister said that the BJP government focuses on long-term development, while the Congress works only for short-term gains and politics.
He claimed that BJP has taken big decisions for the development of the country, which have benefited all sections.

Army and One Rank One Pension

Modi accused Congress of not implementing the 'One Rank, One Pension' scheme for army personnel for years.
He said that by implementing this scheme, the BJP government has given the ex-servicemen their rights and so far ₹1.24 lakh crore has been sent to their accounts.

Allegations of nepotism and corruption

PM Modi also targeted Congress and the Gandhi family, saying that the party is involved in nepotism and corruption.
He described Congress as a “shop of lies and insults”.

Global situation and India

Referring to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, Modi said that his government is working to save the common people, farmers and middle class from its impact.

Peace and development in Assam

The Prime Minister said that the efforts of the BJP government have brought peace in Assam, which has made development possible. He appealed to the people to re-elect BJP to continue this journey of development.

Big announcement for women

Modi said that the law to give 33% reservation to women in Parliament will be implemented from 2029. A special session of Parliament will also be called to discuss this.
