The expected reshuffle is likely to involve changes in ministerial portfolios and possible inclusion of new faces in the Council of Ministers. Discussions around performance reviews, regional representation and organisational balancing have intensified in recent weeks.
The reshuffle is also being viewed as an effort to prepare the government for the next phase of governance and upcoming political challenges.
Apart from political changes, a major bureaucratic reshuffle at the secretary level is also expected after the foreign tour.
Several senior officers are reportedly due for transfers, retirement-linked adjustments and fresh appointments in key ministries. Administrative departments are believed to be preparing proposals related to appointments and restructuring in important sectors.
Such exercises are usually aimed at improving coordination between ministries and accelerating policy implementation.
Political discussions have also intensified around possible organisational announcements within the ruling party structure.
There is growing speculation that Nitin Nabin may announce his national team after the Prime Minister’s return. Party insiders believe the organisational restructuring could focus on strengthening coordination between the government and the party ahead of future electoral campaigns.

The possible announcements are expected to include appointments at the national level and expansion of the party’s organisational network across states.
The Prime Minister’s five-country tour comes at a time when India is expanding engagement with European and Gulf nations on trade, investment, defence and technology cooperation.
Meetings during the visit are expected to cover bilateral ties, global economic issues and strategic partnerships. Officials believe the tour could help strengthen India’s international positioning amid changing geopolitical conditions.
