New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has alleged differences between Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, using the controversy surrounding the removal of photographs from Raihan Vadra's Delhi exhibition to question the siblings' political coordination.

BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari on Friday questioned Rahul Gandhi's silence on the issue, alleging that Priyanka was attempting to introduce her son into politics by turning the exhibition dispute into a controversy.

BJP Questions Rahul Gandhi's Silence

Rahul Gandhi, who is on a personal visit to Vietnam has not publicly commented on the row involving his nephew's exhibition. The BJP cited his silence to suggest a possible divide within the Congress leadership.

Bhandari alleged on social media that Priyanka had lost faith in Rahul and was attempting to give Raihan a political launch. These remarks reflect the BJP's claims; no public evidence has established a rift between the siblings.

However , Rahul and Priyanka had jointly participated in protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls days before the controversy.

Why Raihan Vadra's Exhibition Became Controversial

The dispute centres on "No Idea is Final" an exhibition by artist and photographer Raihan Vadra at Delhi's Bikaner House. Raihan said the venue's administration asked him to remove or replace 74 of the 105 photographs planned for the show, hours before its opening.

The photographs reportedly included images documenting recent student protests in Delhi. Raihan said the collection represented three years of work and questioned the decision to restrict its display.

His mother, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, criticised the move, arguing that it threatened artistic expression and could affect other young artists.

Bikaner House maintained that the photographs were inconsistent with the venue's policy.

BJP Cites Exhibition Proposal

Bhandari shared screenshots of purported email exchanges between Raihan and Bikaner House, arguing that the original proposal focused on nature, wildlife, abstract art, portraits and sculptures. The BJP claimed the political photographs were introduced later.

The controversy has since expanded beyond the exhibition itself, with the BJP using the dispute to target the Congress leadership. However, the allegations of a Rahul-Priyanka rift remain unsubstantiated.
