Punjab BJP Begins Two-Day Strategy Meet Ahead of 2027 Assembly Elections

Following the Home Minister Amit Shah's visit to Punjab yesterday and promise to wipe out drug abuse, the BJP today called a two day brainstorming in Punjab elections which will led by national general secretary B L Santosh. The meet will focus on feedback on ground level issues, alliance strategy and organisational depth.

Chandigarh: After the conclusion of its public outreach on the issue of drug abuse in the state, the BJP today commenced a crucial two-day brainstorming on the 2027 punjab election strategy, at Panchkula's Red Bishop resort.

The discussions being led by BJP national general secretary and incharge of Organisation B L Santosh, who is the primary leader and link between the BJP and the RSS at the national level.

Santosh has called all district presidents,district unit in charges and co-incharges for detailed deliberations today and tomorrow.

"The meeting will take stock of the response and succes of the public outreach we conducted on the issue of drugs and will also discuss the strategy for Punjab elections,due next year", Punjab BJP President Kewal Singh Dhillon said.

BJP leaders review outreach, organisational strength ahead of polls

The BJP has already begun pin-pointing strong seats where they believe they have a winning potential.The discussions began this afternoon and would conclude tomorrow, sources said.

The ground feedback will be sought on the scale of organisational depth of the BJP, especially in rural areas and where the party has been traditionally weak.Alliance strategy and whether the BJP should go with the Shirimani Akhali dal(SAD) and Akhali Punar Surjit faction is also bound to come up.

Party identifies strong seats, seeks ground-level feedback

BJP president Nitin Nabin has repeatedly said that while the party is building its own strength across all 117 seats in Punjab, the alliance matters would be finalised later, depending on ground feedback and surveys and aspiration of voters. BJP and SAD leaders have not been attacking one another in political rallies in a sign that backdoor talks are on, though premature.
