Amritsar: The Border Security Force (BSF) has thwarted a series of cross-border smuggling attempts along the India-Pakistan border in Punjab and seized, recovering a Pak drone, arms and narcotics from Ferozepur and Amritsar sectors.

Three separate intelligence-based operations were conducted to counter the growing threat by Pakistan-based drones. The operations reflected the alertness and efficiency of the force, said BSF official.

The first raid was done on the specific intelligence information under which BSF launched a focused search operation in agricultural fields near village Kamal Wala in Ferozepur district. During the raid the BSF recovered a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone that was used for cross-border smuggling. The drone was found lying in fields close to the India-Pakistan border fence.
