New Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha on Monday posted a video message on social media outlining the reasons behind what he described as a major political decision, alleging that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has developed a “toxic work environment” and asserting that his next step would allow him to serve public causes more effectively.

Sharing his message on Instagram, Chadha said he wanted to directly address public questions surrounding his decision and the criticism that followed. The post reportedly triggered a significant drop in his follower count, amid online reactions from users.

Chadha Said

Referring to his long association with AAP, Chadha said he had left a career as a Chartered Accountant to co-found the party and had devoted over a decade to its growth. However, he claimed the organisation had changed over time.

“Today, this party is no longer what it once was,” he said, alleging that internal functioning had become restrictive and that dissenting voices were being sidelined. He further alleged that decision-making was concentrated in the hands of a few individuals and that the environment had become difficult for effective work.

Chadha said he had weighed multiple options before taking his decision, including quitting politics or continuing within the party to attempt internal reform. He added that he ultimately chose what he described as a path toward “constructive politics” on a different platform.

Comparing the situation to workplace dynamics, he argued that productivity suffers in a “toxic environment” and suggested that leaving such a setting was sometimes the only viable option.

Addressing speculation about his future priorities, Chadha assured supporters that he would continue to raise public issues and work toward resolving them, claiming that his ability to implement solutions would now improve.

He also indicated that his decision was part of a broader collective move involving other parliamentarians, though he did not elaborate further on political alignments in the video.
Note: The claims made in the video reflect Chadha’s statements and have not been independently verified.
