New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has made some allegations against former Union Minister and top BJP leader Arun Jaitley. Arun Jaitley's son Rohan Jaitley has now reacted to Rahul Gandhi's allegations. Rohan Jaitley wrote in a post shared on social media that 'Rahul Gandhi claims that my father threatened him over the agricultural laws, but the agricultural laws were brought in 2020 and my father died in 2019 itself,' reports Dynamite News correspondent.

'He Believed In Building Consensus'

Rohan Jaitley wrote on social media that 'Rahul Gandhi is claiming that my late father Arun Jaitley threatened him over the agricultural laws. Let me remind him that my father died in 2019. The agricultural laws were introduced in 2020. More importantly, it was not in my father's nature to threaten anyone.

He was a staunch democrat and always believed in building consensus. Even if such a situation arose, as often happens in politics, he would call for free and open discussion to arrive at a mutually acceptable solution for all. He was just like that and this is his legacy even today. I would appreciate Rahul Gandhi if he is cautious while speaking about those who are not with us. He tried to do something similar for Manohar Parrikar ji, politicized his last days, that too was very cheap.'

Rahul Gandhi Had Made This Claim

It is worth noting that while speaking at the Annual Legal Conference-2025, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said that 'I remember when I was fighting against the agricultural laws, Arun Jaitley ji was sent to threaten me. He told me, 'If you keep opposing the government, keep fighting against the agricultural laws, we will have to take action against you'. I looked at him and said 'I don't think you know who you are talking to.
