Rajasthan: Six women killed, three seriously injured in truck-car collision on NH-52

Sikar: A tragic road accident in Sikar district on Wednesday has left six women dead and three others critically injured, plunging Fatehpur town and surrounding villages into grief.

The collision occurred on National Highway-52 near Harsawa village in the Fatehpur sub-division when a car carrying women collided with a speeding truck, completely destroying the vehicle.

Local residents, along with police and ambulance services, rushed to the site to rescue the injured and take them to the hospital.

Station House Officer Surendra Degra confirmed that all six women who lost their lives in the accident were residents of Fatehpur. The deceased have been identified as Santosh (wife of Satyanarayan Mali), Tulsi Devi (wife of Lalit), Mohan Devi (wife of Mahesh), Indra (daughter of Mahesh), Asha (wife of Murari), and Chanda (wife of Surendra). According to the police, the women were returning from Raghunathpur to Laxmangarh after attending a meeting when their car collided with a speeding truck on NH-52, resulting in the tragic accident.

Three Seriously Injured Referred to Sikar

Three others sustained serious injuries: Wasim (son of Manir Khan), Sonu (daughter of Surendra), and Barkha (wife of Omprakash). They were initially treated at the Government Sub-District Hospital in Fatehpur before being referred to Sikar for advanced medical care due to the severity of their injuries.

Traffic Disrupted, Police Restore Normalcy

The accident caused a traffic jam on NH-52 for nearly half an hour. Fatehpur police arrived at the scene, cleared the wreckage, and restored traffic flow.

The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the mortuary of the Government Sub-District Hospital, Fatehpur, with post-mortem examinations scheduled for Monday morning.
