New Delhi: There is good news for the youth looking for jobs in railways. The Indian Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has invited applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot, reports Dynamite News correspondent. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the board (www.rrbcdg.gov.in).

Let us tell you that the last date to apply for this recruitment was earlier, 11 May 2025, but it has now been extended to 19 May 2025. Due to which another golden opportunity has been found for the candidates who missed applying.

Number of posts

A total of 9970 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive.

Application date

Applicants can apply till 19 May. The application fee can be paid till 21 May 2025 (11:59 pm). Whereas candidates will get time from 22 May to 31 May 2025 to correct the error in the form.

Age Limit

To apply in this recruitment, the age of the candidate should be between 18 and 30 years. Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per government rules.

Educational Qualification

Under the educational qualification, candidates must have matriculation/SSLC along with an ITI or 3-year diploma in a relevant trade from a recognized institute.

Application Fee

In this recruitment process, the application fee for the General, OBC, and EWS categories is Rs 500, while for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Women, Transgender, EBC, and Ex-Servicemen, the fee has been fixed at Rs 250.

Selection Process

Selection for the posts of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) will be done in four stages. In the first stage, there will be a CBT-1 exam, in which 75 questions will be asked in 60 minutes and there will be 1/3 negative marking. After this there will be the CBT-2 exam, in which 175 questions will have to be solved in 2 hours and 30 minutes; there will also be 1/3 negative marking. Candidates who are successful in CBT-2 will have to appear for a Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT), which has no negative marking. Finally, there will be document verification and medical tests.

First of all, go to the official website of RRB (www.rrbcdg.gov.in).

Go to the website and click on “New Registration,” and register by filling in the required information.

After registration, fill in all the required information in the application form, such as educational qualifications, personal information, etc.

Upload your passport-size photo and signature, as directed on the website.

Use a credit card, debit card, net banking, or UPI for payment.

Now submit the application form and take a printout of it.
