New Delhi: There is good news for those looking for a job in railways. Actually, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released recruitment for the posts of technician, reports Dynamite News correspondent. For which the application process has started today. Interested and eligible candidates can apply by visiting www.rrbapply.gov.in.

Number of posts

A total of 6238 posts will be recruited under this recruitment. Out of these, 183 posts are for Technician Grade-Signal (Level-5), and 6055 posts are reserved for Technician Grade-III (Level-2).

Application date

The last date for online application has been fixed as 28 July 2025.

Age limit

Candidates between 18 and 33 years for the Technician Grade-I post and 18 and 30 years for the Technician Grade-III post are eligible to apply. Reserved categories will get relaxation as per rules.

Educational Qualification

Two types of vacancies have been released under RRB Technician Recruitment 2025. The first is for Technician Grade-I (Signal), in which the candidate must have a B.Sc. (Physics/Electronics/Computer Science/IT/Instrumentation) or B.E./B.Tech/three-year engineering diploma qualification, while the qualification for Technician Grade-III is 10th pass + ITI certificate or 12th pass with physics and math.

Application Fee

Candidates of the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500, out of which Rs 400 will be refunded after appearing in the CBT-1 exam. At the same time, the application fee for SC, ST, women, EBC, and Divyang categories is Rs 250, which will be fully refunded on appearing in CBT-1. Candidates have to pay the fee through online mode.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates in RRB's Technician Recruitment Exam will be done in three stages. Firstly, a written test (CBT) will be conducted, followed by a medical test and finally document verification. There is a provision of negative marking in the CBT exam, in which one-third of a mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

1. Click on the official website www.rrbapply.gov.in.

2. Enter name, mobile number, and email ID by clicking on "New Registration."

3. Log in with the user ID and password received after registration.

4. Select personal information, educational qualification, desired post, and RRB board.

5. Upload a passport-size photo, signature, and required certificates.

6. Submit the application fee through online mode as per the category.

7. After checking all the details, submit the final.
