Chennai: DMK MP Kanimozhi has expressed serious concern over the alleged sexual exploitation case involving a TVK functionary in Salem, stating that those responsible must face strict punishment and that justice should be ensured for all affected women.

She made the remarks while addressing a meeting of the DMK Women’s Wing cadres at the party headquarters, Anna Arivalayam.

Allegations Spark Political Concern

Referring to reports of a TVK executive in Salem allegedly threatening women and recording obscene videos involving more than 50 victims, Kanimozhi described the incident as deeply disturbing and said it had shocked public conscience.

“The shocking news that a TVK executive in Salem has threatened and filmed obscene videos of more than 50 women has sent shockwaves,” she said, urging a fair and transparent investigation into the matter.

Demand for Fair Investigation

Kanimozhi stressed the need for a thorough probe and said that no effort should be made to shield those involved. She called for strict legal action against the accused and accountability at all levels.

She also urged authorities to ensure that victims are protected throughout the investigation process and are able to seek justice without fear.

Focus on Victim Protection

“The government must ensure the safety of all affected women, along with guaranteeing that they receive the justice they deserve,” she said, highlighting the importance of safeguarding victims’ rights.

The DMK MP added that the focus should remain on delivering justice and preventing any political interference in the case.

Reference to Past Cases
