Weekly fast-festival

Sawan Shivratri is on 23rd July. This festival is celebrated every year on the Chaturdashi date of Krishna Paksha of Sawan month. On this day, Lord Shiva is anointed with water. Hariyali and Sawan Amavasya is on 24th July. On this auspicious occasion, Lord Shiva is worshipped by bathing in the Ganges. Also, Mahadev, the God of Gods, is worshipped and revered. On the day of Hariyali Amavasya, the ancestors are also offered water.

Hariyali Teej

Hariyali Teej is on 27th July. This festival is celebrated every year on the Tritiya Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan. On this day, married women worship Lord Shiva to attain unbroken good fortune. Also, fasts are observed for Shiva-Shakti.
