New Delhi: The Supreme Court has taken a major decision in view of the petroleum crisis, announcing that court proceedings will also be conducted virtually on certain days.
According to the decision, only virtual hearings will take place in the Supreme Court on Mondays and Fridays, while hearings on the remaining three working days will be conducted in hybrid mode.
Chief Justice of India Surya Kant took the decision considering the prevailing situation. Until now, the Supreme Court had been functioning in a hybrid mode, allowing both physical appearances and virtual participation in court proceedings.
